Electrocoating
Cataphoretic Coating (Electro Deposition) is a water based primer paint coating system, which is based on electro chemical principles. It is a very effective method for painting of complex geometrical metal parts. It provides homogeneous painting of items. Today, Cataphoretic Coating is preferred by most of the sectors because of its superior technical features like high corrosion resistance, perfect efficiency with closed cycle system, less environmental pollution with the water based paint and lower risk of fire. With its advanced technology, Botersan manufactures the cataphoretic coating plants with high safety and quality.
Recently, its usage has become widespread in many other sectors as well as the automobile sector. The E.D. coating can be used in the body parts of the automobiles as well as on the surface coating of wheels, radiators, dishwasher, washing machines and several vehicle parts. A Typical E.D. plant consists of 4 main components. These are surface pretreatment – phosphating, E.D. coating, washing – rinsing and oven. Botersan applied many high production capacity E.D. lines successfully and continues to develop high technology E.D. lines.
The main advantages of electrocoating are:
• Excellent film uniformity and control
• Total coverage of complex geometries, welded areas
• Corrosion protection
• High productivity
• Significantly reduced paint loss (practically %0)
• Accordance with environmental protection (water based with 1-3 % solvent)
• Reduced fire hazard and health problems
• Excellent adhesion and surface preparation for subsequent processes
• Highly automated and dependable process.
